Designing for the female body, what a concept.
About 5 years ago, I was a part of the "startup hustle", working with my first company on our mobile parking application. I was schlepping in and out of the city each day to pitch our company to customers and investors. I had two options for this commute: either carry a fashionable bag that barely handled the weight of its contents, or strap a big old backpack on, ensuring I reverted back to my 12-year-old self (a scary thought). One day I got tired of carrying bags that hurt my body and my confidence, so I decided to make my own. That's when the 'bag lady' journey began. My first prototype boasted pistachio shells to pose as the feet of the bag, and today, I can proudly say that with the help of 10939533849403 (+ some) people along the way, the bag is ready for market. Check out some photos from the journey along the way.
This bag was created by women, for women. Check out some of the media publications that were so kind in telling our story:
* You'll notice the company was once upon referred to as "Ripe Fashion"... after much thought, deliberation and blunt feedback, we decided to stick with our original company name 'GoDo'
